So, The Schantz Family were proud delegates this year to NAC in Anderson, Indiana.
Jeri had the privilege of co-teaching a workshop with Pastor Samme Rousopoulos at the children's ministry fair entitled:
Becoming a Roof Breaker Exceptional Children, Exceptional Opportunities
Then for the next part of the week she participated in the General Assembly which helps highlight the work of the National Office. You can think of it like an old-fashioned "camp meeting" because that's basically what it was and we thoroughly enjoyed participating.
Eli and Isaac REALLY enjoyed the kids portion of NAC and attended Kids Place where Fred Fogel (above) helped immerse the children in EVERYTHING China. We had lanterns and chopsticks and Chinese Writing and kite making and new and interesting food experiences. It was a learning-filled blast.
ELI...who keeps managing to duck pictures or disappear when the camera is out goes NO WHERE without his music player. Consequently, Isaac who imitates EVERYTHING that Eli does re-discovered his Fischer-Price version and so they're both going around deaf to all but their tunes each singing random little songs, usually at the same time. They're HYSTERICAL.
SO...Sunday morning as we're preparing to leave for church...He adds the hat. How is it possible to be a little "punk" already at three? It's like he's been watchin' MTV or something!
I'm praying that he got the following from something good and that there's additional meaning to it and I just have to find out what it is...I think it may be a Veggie Tales video...
Isaac singing..."I WON'T go to school! I WON'T go to church! That stuff is for SISSIES but BUNNIES ARE COOOOLLL!"
Okay...no kidding...we had the most ABSOLUTELY perfect day for Isaac's first day of soccer. Gorgeous skies and 70 degrees...perfect weather.
Next...please forgive me but, seriously, how was I supposed to decide which of these pictures to leave out?
My soccer star...
These next few TOTALLY crack my stuff up. He's doing this toe-touch drill where he has to alternate feet quickly and touch his toe to the ball and balance there and then switch. You can SO see him get tired of it. FUNNY!
Of course, he starts out silly...thinking it's cake.
Are we done yet?
Phew...this is harder than it looks.
Balance...bALLLANCE.
What follows are just other shots of warm ups and drills and such. He had so much fun and GOSH...so did I.
Water Break!
It's was a good day. Look at the satisfaction on his face. He's feeling pretty big and he is. He did a great job. We're SOOOO proud. Can you tell?
