Well...they're not our most attractive family photos BUT we were having fun and I think you can see the love in the middle of all the silliness. The pictures that Matt aren't in are funny to me cuz those are the ones where he was actually snoring beside us while Isaac was crawling all over him. We were playing around with Eli's camera. Obviously, we've not figured out how to set it so that the time stamp isn't on the bottom right. SO...here were are in all our end of the day, sweaty, dirty, tired glory just hangin' out.
Okay so...we went and we're back and OH MY GOODNESS, the stories there are to blog about...just you wait...
Anyways, more to come but here's a pic of the favorite coaster among The Schantzes...The Maverick. Did I happen to mention that it was spontaneously a "Needler Family Trip" minus only the Papaw who is (I'm pretty sure) REALLY glad that he stayed home.
There are SO MANY stories to tell and not all of them pretty... Here's a teaser to get you to check back in the next couple of days when I get a chance to blog it all...
Warning...this is potty talk...
Okay, so...of our party of 13, 3 members, not all small children had near brushes or hardcore run-ins with poo in their pants...let's just say we nearly shut-down the hotel pool...TWICE.
OH...and there was underage drinking involved...here's that pic. Isaac, cash in hand buying everyone a round jell-o shots (oh, stop, I'm kidding he was getting a popsicle).
mR. eLI...FOURTH GRADER (can't believe it) has taken a new and intense interest in his dress (he NEVER really cared before) and so school shopping this year has been quite interesting especially since his feet are huge-o-mongous and we're shopping men's sizes now for his gi-go-normous footsies. So, anyways...skater shoes...apparently, is what he dreams of and after much looking and debate, we ordered these today. You woulda thought it was Christmas Morning. I figure that he's more like me than I realized if he gets this excited about shoes. That's my boy!
Fun flick...great thematic messages. Isaac sat GLUED the entire length of the movie and was very emotional (clutching my neck for dear life) during the climatic scene when wall.e was trying to fight to save Earth. This was our 4th of July celebration before Eli left for camp. Dinner and A movie...that's our gig. Ah, I LOVE us...there's no one else that I'd rather be with. Me and my boys...that's perfect.
SO, after the VERY spoiled riders had massages to rejuvenate their oh-so-tired muscles, we had a nummy lunch at the riders tent and went to see some animals.
At the zoo, we went to a great concert sponsored by Radio Disney featuring a band called Everlife. where we rocked out!
Then we cooled off and played at The Enchanted Mill...
THEN...WE SAW... Lions and...
Tigers and...
Bears...OH MY!
We had a great day and got some fantastic pictures. Here's some of our favorites!
We ended our day with dinner and a special show where we got soaked by this dolphin! This was Isaac's favorite part. He's still talking about it! He keeps saying, "Dolf--Fin" We wish you all could have been there!
There can be no other occupation like gardening in which, if you were to creep up behind someone at their work, you would find them smiling. ~Mirabel Osler

God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done. ~Author Unknown When one of my plants dies, I die a little inside, too. ~Linda Solegato You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt. ~Author Unknown Earth is here so kind, that just tickle her with a hoe and she laughs with a harvest. ~Douglas William Jerrold, about Australia, A Land of Plenty I appreciate the misunderstanding I have had with Nature over my perennial border. I think it is a flower garden; she thinks it is a meadow lacking grass, and tries to correct the error. ~Sara Stein, My Weeds, 1988
Crazy curly-haired mom living as the only exception in an all male household. Living life out of the car running busy boys everywhere, trying to keep or get everybody healthy, happy, fed, and quasi-educated. Totally in love with the whole giant MESS of it all and my main guy and co-conspirator husband, Matt. 16 years of marriage, two boys, a large dog, a love of God Almighty, a passion for Special Education and all things creative...I blog out our lives in a desperate attempt to hold on to every little piece and savor each miraculously messy moment.
