Ashley wants me to be like McMama

My Niece, Ashley, decided a while back that I should
blog what I prepare for dinner MckMama style.
SO...

Brown one pound of ground Italian sausage.
Layer desired amount of marinara sauce
onto Indian Naan Bread and sprinkle generously with
CHEESE...yum...

Add additional toppings according to your preference
(mushrooms, onions, peppers etc...)

Bake in a 400 degree oven until cheese is
lightly brown and bubbly. Enjoy!

There you go Ashley. A quick, easy, dinner idea
from Aunt J...MckMama style...

Wee Willy Winky

A peak inside one of our early mornings,
on a day when Wee Willy Winky stole my sweatshirt.
He's unspeakably rotten.

Isaac and his "twin" sister at the Pumpkin Patch

Who knew Ed Mysogland and Matt Schantz
could produce children with two different women
that would end up looking so MUCH alike.
It's almost funny!

TALENT...

There's beautiful photography that happens by luck
or gorgeous light and then there's TALENT where
there's a deep understanding of all the myriad of
components
that work together to create a great photograph.

This photographer has that understanding
as well as blinding talent...both of these shots
stole my breath away...

Lens Lust

I fall victim to camera lens lust on a fairly
regular basis but NEVER quite this badly.
The following pics are shot with a pretty HOT little
piece of glass that runs about 7,000 bucks.

SEE...with a $7,000 lens you can capture a shot series
in which your FABULOUS kid does a GREAT stick and steal
then proceeds on to runaway with the ball and fire off
a monstrous kick worthy of a MLS magazine cover.

OMG...would someone please wipe the drool off my chin.

Like I said, stick and steal...now for the run...

He's in the air here. FREAKIN' amazing...

Pike Fest - Runner's Up

We're still not over the ringers brought in by
the other team...uh, they were...girls.
The pony tail ringers were TOUGH.
#17 BROKE her wrist DURING the game.
INSISTED on playing through with her arm
visibly swelling as she stuck it out for
20 more minutes to score the winning goal
after two overtimes. She was rushed off the field
to the hospital, needless to say.
Overall, two good days of tournament play.
Being runners up...not so bad.
Our very own #16 was awesome both
on the field and in the goal. He did a good
job fighting off those ponytails. ;)

A Perfect Picture of Parenthood...

Just LOVE this shot of my friend teaching her
kid to ride a bike. Her pretty and CRAZY funny face
totally express for me the emotional sum of parenting.
You can look at her and see fun, fear, stress, joy,
anxiety, laughter, energy and exhaustion.
It MAKES me smile.

You can also see "happy childhood" written
ALL OVER Addy's face...no fear, all fun, complete trust
in the momma that has hold of her.

A PERFECT picture of parenthood...the good kind.
