Our President's Education Award Recipiant

Citizenship Award (He's in the back, middle)
This honor is voted on and awarded by peers.
The Citizenship Award is granted to those
who consistently demonstrate the life skills curricula
taught at Oak Trace.

We are always very proud but especially today.
It was good to celebrate Eli at the end
of his 4th Grade year with special recognition given
to his academic achievements.

Eli received awards for citizenship AND
The Gold President's Education Award.
This was quite an accomplishment with

tough criteria which if you really want
you can see here...

However beaming our smiles were
I doubt they compared to his letter from
President Obama. It was a good day.

As much as I LOVE to see my child
and his accomplishments celebrated...part
of me wishes all children could experience
such a tremendous sense of accomplishment
and receive special attention like this.
All children deserved to be celebrated.

It was our honor and privilege to celebrate
Eli today. We are so PROUD and
have been since the moment of his birth.
He is truly a gift from God who
brings us joy daily with or without
trophies, medals, awards and accolades.

He fulfilled all of our dreams for him
when he chose to live his life for Jesus
and told the world with his baptism.

Today, for us as parents, was pure joy
as we watched him achieve personal goals
that he'd set for his education.

Eli, you are simply OUTSTANDING!

We love you.
