Prospectively Prosperous Pink Pig Passion

Okay...here's my funny story...

Miss Diana at the gym LOVES children.
She engages them all, makes them feel
important, listens to them, always
providing a generous dose of good cheer
and smiley sunshine. She most genuinely
enjoys children and they, most truly, her.
Isaac is CRAZY about her...would literally follow her anywhere.
She likes him a whole big bunch, too, and lately

they have become enterprising.

Isaac, at first, was just earning his gum
because Miss Diana is one of those SuPAcool
ladies that ALWAYS has herself sum gum.
(I bet her roller skates had rainbow pom-poms on them
to match the rainbow stripe on her shorts...she's like that.
She's a big, bright rainbow. Coincidentally, she's also kind and loving
and gentle and pretty and funny and nearly always perfectly
color-coordinated with cute shades to match.
Oh, and she has one MEAN pull on a harness run.
We LOVE her at our house! :))

But I'm off track...Frum gum (that was fun) they moved on to
quarters when Isaac would impose himself into the middle of help
Miss Diana with chores like mopping or vacuuming.
So...Isaac started to have quite the little
collection of quarters and announced
loudly, repeatedly, daily, incessantly for all to hear,

that he needed a Piggy Bank.

Where to get one thought I?
(Actually, it was more desperate than that because
it was my true heart's desire to get the blame piggy bank
as quickly as possible so that I could get
the constant yammering for the piggy bank to stop.)

So...we venture into the local paint your own
ceramics shop and ended up with this pretty girl after
an hour and a half of squabbling over paints and brushes
and what KIND of pig we'd paint
(we decided on a Bentheim Black Pied Pig because they
looked like they could be trusted to hold your money
in their gut and more importantly, Isaac thought,
like they would bite your finger should you try

to swipe his money. We went round and round
about how "mean" to make the eyes look
so as to deter prospective robbers...yes, all that, REALLY!)
and 26...yes, that'd be TWENTY-SIX bucks later we
had produced the perfect petulant pig that
no one could pilfer.

Anyways...since I'd BET oh, uhm...$26 dollars or so
that you'd never seen a Bentheim Black Pied Pig
or would not have know what to call it if you'd had,
here's pretty, plump, piggy proof...

Please have enough tact to not point out that I
choked up $26 for a breakable pig to hold
$1.50 worth of 4 year old earnings.

DO NOT TELL ME THAT I COULD HAVE MADE ONE
or that you saw durable plastic versions on sale
last week at The Wal-Mart. Thanks.

He loves this pig and we love Miss Diane
and that makes our funny little piggy memory of
all this worth every little pig penny.

Warning...take heed...
Don't EVER look our pig in her mean eye,
She WILL bite your finger.
